Dear members,
As a new season is about to start, I would like to start by welcoming all the new members to our circle, and hope you will enjoy being part of it as much as we do.
Another warm welcome to the creative and wonderful Noor Al Suwaidi, The Art Circle new artistic director.
At the time I am writing this letter, we have just returned from India, not only the land of colors, spices and perfumes, but also the land of creativity with its vibrant art scene and rich heritage. Our head is filled with great memories of interesting encounters with artists, gallery owners and collectors.

Letter from our member Sallama Bu-Haydar AlSayegh
I was born and raised in war-torn Beirut, Lebanon. I came to Abu Dhabi in 1990 as an immigrant and have proudly called the UAE my home for 33 years now. When my dear friend, Sylvie, called me three years ago, and asked if I am interested in joining a women’s art group, I agreed. I believed, at the time, that I would be participating in a few functions per year, so why not join? I was definitely mistaken. The Art Circle is more than just a public gathering; it is truly a learning curve where you are immersed in ongoing visits to galleries, workshops, renowned and emerging artists, art collectors, talks and visits in museums in the nation, and abroad. I came to appreciate art and enjoy it with uplifting and positive women, and was honored with a powerful educational life experience.
