Letter from our member Noura Ali Ramahi
Dear members,
I will begin by going back to before the beginning… I met Barbara while making a 125 km journey through the desert on foot from Al Ain to Abu Dhabi as part of the Women’s Heritage Walk in 2017. Squinting in the blinding desert sun I saw a vision of yellow in the distance like a mirage. As I approached I saw a lady dressed from head to toe in yellow hiking gear and we struck up a conversation. I discovered she’s from Belgium. So, I started to speak to her in my horribly rusty French to distract myself from the pain in my feet as we climbed dune after dune towards camp
